Topics last week in Mass:
29th Sunday in Ordinary Time (October 21, 2018)
Theme: The V.I.P. List
Mass Readings:
~First Reading: Isaiah 53:10-11
~Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 33:4-5, 18-19, 20, 22
~Second Reading: Hebrews 4:14-15
~Gospel: Mark 10:35-45
Key Words: exaltation, example, confidence, compassion, justification, mercy
Key Themes:
Meditation for the week:
~Do you believe the Word of God can have an effect in your lift right now? If yes, in what way? If no, why not?
~Hebrews 4:13 states that “everything is naked and exposed to the eye of Him.” Since the Lord can see everything within our hearts, is there anything in your life right now you would like God to speak into? A struggle in a friendship, a health issue, a decision you made, etc?
Challenge for the week: Pick one person to perform an act of service for this week. If you are intimidated by what your peers may think of this act-you may be judged as a “suck up” or “goodie-two-shows”-empower yourself to ban together as a group and serve these people together. Also, pray for these people who serve you on a daily basis.

- Our God knows human suffering; we have a God who weeps with us.
- God invites us to approach His throne, made not of marble but of mercy.
- With glory often comes suffering, but in the end, suffering is the path to glory.
- The only glory we ought to seek is God’s.
